Andy and Dominic here, we are in our early 30’s and have been married since 2013. Originally from Chicago, we are midwestern transplants living in San Francisco, California. We’ve been together for over 13 years and have always looked forward to welcoming a child into our home. Andy’s job provides up to a year of parental leave and Dominic has a flexible work schedule, so for the first year of our child’s life someone will be at home everyday to nurture their development.
We’d love to share a bit about ourselves and of the type of parents we’d like to be. We’re looking forward to raising a child surrounded by our large, loving families and sharing our passion for exploring the world and other cultures. Open mindedness is something that is very important to us. Being an LGBT couple, we are already innately different from what’s “normal”, and something we feel strongly about teaching our child is that different isn’t wrong, it’s just different. We want to raise a child that understands the importance of respect and dignity, and always has the ability to put themselves in someone else’s shoes.
We know the decisions you’re making now are important and difficult, and we appreciate you taking the time to learn a little about us.
