One of the most important and difficult ways to love someone is to be able to let go. We are so impressed with your loving and selfless plan to seek an open adoption for your child, and we can’t wait to meet you. In the meantime, we wanted to tell you a little bit about ourselves, our family, and our home.
We’ve been together for over thirteen years, and during that time we experienced two transatlantic moves, attained degrees and jobs, supported each other’s family members, made a lot of friends, and surrounded ourselves with a strong, loving, and creative community. Hadar’s academic job gives her the flexibility to work from home, and Chad plans to working from home part-time to help in raising a child.
We’re enthusiastic about adopting, we even have four adopted nieces and nephews, and believe that adopted members are fully part of the family. We’re excited to get to know you, and sympathetic with your situation. We are open to adopting a child of any background or ethnicity, but we are especially well equipped to adopt a child from a Latino background. We both grew up in Ecuador and speak fluent Spanish and have strong ties with the Latino community.
