We met in 2001, when we were attending the same college, UCSD. Seth was stubborn, ambitious, and outgoing. Jared was shy, sarcastic, and bookish. We met through mutual friends and didn’t hit it off right away (Seth thought Jared was too quiet, and Jared thought Seth was too loud).
But over the next several months, we developed a friendship and began to appreciate each other’s differences. Deep respect became a wonderful, playful, and fun relationship together.
We have talked about adoption since we met, and now, 15 years later, we are so excited about open adoption. We cannot wait to take our future child to the park, teach them to swim, watch them fall asleep, comfort them when they are fussy – and eventually help them brave this big bad world, supported by a large network of family and friends.
We are so excited to start our family –
Thank you for taking the time to consider us as potential adoptive parents.
We know adult adoptees, a mother who placed her daughter for adoption, and other adoptive parents. We couldn’t be more excited to adopt and finally become parents!
We want nothing more than to be responsible, loving parents.
We both knew we wanted to start a family one day, and we have been preparing and working toward that dream for the last fifteen years together.
