Adam's first language is Hebrew. Tom inherited his great-grandfather's banjo
We’re Adam and Tom and we’re a married couple looking to grow our family through adoption. We are both very excited at the thought of becoming parents. While we can’t know where you are coming from in this journey, we appreciate you taking the time to get to know us better.
We met at a mutual friend’s birthday party in Oakland ten years ago. Tom was playing music and Adam thought he looked really cute onstage. We started chatting and found we had a great connection but, as luck would have it, Adam moved across the country to Washington D.C. the next day. Yet the two of us kept in touch and decided to come visit one another and, well, the rest is history.
Tom is a musician and can’t wait to play and sing with your child. He is a kind and gentle person who has a great deal of love in his heart. One of his favorite things to do is cook a delicious meal and sit down to eat surrounded by close friends and family. When it’s not dinnertime, he works with a team at Apple writing copy for new Mac releases.
Adam is a science journalist and looks forward to sharing a child’s curiosity about the world. He is a confident, spontaneous person who is fascinated by the world around him and devoted to his friends and family. He has a sharp and analytical mind but is also a big softie who is deeply moved by art and music.
We both love cooking, getting out into nature, and working in our vegetable garden. We’re both big readers and our house is always full of books. We often walk to the park a few blocks from our home, which has jungle gyms for kids to play on. We live in a duplex owned by close friends who live downstairs. They have two young children and we love spending time with their family.
Adam comes from a lively, tightly knit Israeli-American family. His mom lives close by and can’t wait to become a grandmother. His brother’s family lives five minutes away, giving us all a chance to spend lots of time together. Adam’s dad and stepmom are in LA; they adopted Adam’s sister from Vietnam. Tom grew up in a loving household. His family also lives in LA, as well as Eugene, Oregon.
Thank you for considering us in this decision. It can’t be an easy one to make. We promise that if you choose us, we will do everything in our power to care for your child and surround them with love. We have so much respect for you and can’t wait to meet you!
