Hi! I’m Shiva. My background is Iranian, I grew up mostly in Canada and now I live and work in San Francisco. I’m excited to be here! I’ve always wanted to adopt a child since I was a little girl, it sounds strange but it’s true. I’m very family-oriented, in the past three years, a niece and nephew have been added to my life and I adore them. I have three god-children and I also volunteer as a mentor to foster kids with Braid Mission and it has been very rewarding.

I love spending time with my family and close friends.

I believe family is truly important and I cherish mine and am grateful for the bonds we have.

I find joy in learning. I really enjoy reading, music, and history. I love to travel and learn about new cultures and people.

I work in biotech and have always been involved in medicine and computer science in drug discovery. I love what I do and believe it’s a privilege to work in science.

My Home and Community

I live in a two-bedroom apartment in San Francisco, in a nice neighborhood, near the Embarcadero. There’s a common area for families and kids, there is a swimming pool and the apartment itself is spacious and bright. I love my living room, it’s full of pictures of loved ones, books, and a piano, with a beautiful view of the Bay.

My Extended Family

My family is spread all over the world but we remain very connected and close. My parents, sister, and her family all live in Toronto, Canada. We’re a warm and fun-loving family, we like to play poker when we get together and my mom and her sisters are the glue of the family
