We met in Washington DC on an old-fashioned blind date set up by a friend. We bonded when we wanted to order everything on the menu and shared a silly sense of humor. We knew each other was “the one” after our third date.  We quickly moved in together, got engaged the next year, and married in a forest in rural Maryland.  Right after our honeymoon, we moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where we’ve lived ever since.

We’ve built our home here by taking advantage of the amazing food around us, our easy access to California’s natural wonders, the ability to travel and explore new destinations, and spending time with our close group of friends. This shared love of exploration, discovery, and most of all, fun and laughter, has been the centerpiece of our partnership since Day 1.

We are both lucky to have jobs that allow us to do what we love. Ari is a professional fundraiser at a large regional theater where get brings his lifelong passion for the arts. David is committed to social justice and equality and works as a lawyer at a major university to build a better and fairer society.
