We’re Chris and Jessie, married since 2017 and excited about adoption because Chris is adopted! His adoption was a closed adoption but his journey to find his birth parents strengthens our desire to have an open adoption. We’re excited to welcome a child, you and your family (if you want) into our lives with love, respect, and support.

We travel frequently in our RV with our off-road vehicles, attend sports games, and enjoy other live events like concerts and theater. We’re eager to build a relationship that respects your role as a birth mom and values extended family. Together, we’ll ALL create a life where your child will be raised knowing how much they are loved by all of us.

About Jessie

I was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Virginia. At 16, I returned to California, eventually earning a Bachelor’s degree in public relations from San Jose State. I love cooking, baking, soccer, hockey, karaoke, and camping. I’m also a huge animal lover and keep myself surrounded by pets. One of the best parts of my job is that I work from home which allows me the flexibility to spend time with our pets at home and hopefully, to enjoy time with a little one!

I’m ready to be a mom because I have always felt a strong desire to nurture and care for others. My infertility journey has taught me so much patience and reinforced my deep longing to nurture and care for a child, providing them with unconditional love and support as they grow and develop. I am excited about the opportunity to guide and shape a young life, sharing in their triumphs and challenges and creating a strong, lifelong bond. I look forward to new routines, and youth sports, taking them to Disneyland, celebrating holidays, and making new traditions. I am eager to experience the joys and responsibilities of parenthood, knowing that being a mom will enrich my life and bring immense fulfillment and happiness.

About Chris

I was born and raised in San Jose, California. I was adopted as a newborn and did not meet my bio family until my 30s when I took DNA tests and connected with extended family. I had an amazing childhood with parents who truly loved me, but I could not help but always wonder where I came from. In my free time, I like to work on my Baja Bug to take it on off-road trips, play golf and paintball, attend events with Jessie, friends, and coworkers, and work on our house. I also enjoy hanging out at home with Jessie and watching our favorite shows and movies or playing video games as a couple.

I know I’m ready for fatherhood because I have always wanted to be a dad and I finally feel I’m ready. When I was a little boy, I would talk about what I would do when I was grown up with my own child. As I got older, I realized how difficult it can be to support myself, let alone a child. Now with my best friend by my side, our careers in full swing, and our finances and living situation stable, I know I am ready to be the dad I always dreamed I could be. I’m ready for the challenges as well as the rewards that fatherhood brings. I dream as much about changing diapers and how to handle angsty teens as I do about tending to scraped knees, the first days of school, and vacation adventures.

Our Home and Community

We decided to move to Gilroy and bought a big enough house to grow our family in. We love the smaller town community that Gilroy provides. From weekend car shows downtown, to Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park, there is almost always something fun to do locally. Monterey and Santa Cruz are nearby for beach time and an aquarium visit. The Bay Area offers such interesting and beautiful experiences that are all within a short drive.

Our Extended Family

We have a large, extended family that includes siblings of all kinds, biological and non-biological parents, nieces and nephews, as well friends who feel like family. Jessie has 6 siblings, 2 who are local and with whom she is very close. Chris grew up an only child, but after finding his biological parents, he is now the oldest of 6! Our parents and Chris’s siblings live out of state but we visit together at least once per year. Everyone is excited to welcome a little addition to the family.
