Meet Dan & Jake

Hey there, we are Jake and Dan and we appreciate your reading about us. We live in Los Angeles near the beach, in a close knit, fun neighborhood where we own our home with a nice yard and great neighbors. We have fun careers and are excited to welcome a child into our family and give that child a wonderful, adventurous life full of love, fun and joy. Some of our immediate family members are adopted and we know first-hand how special adoption can be.

About Jake

I grew up in Rhode Island, which is famous for its beautiful beaches and its access to the outdoors. When I was a kid, I would spend summers in the mountains hiking, camping, and swimming. I love to have fun in my job and professionally, I am an executive in the music industry. The love of music is what drives my life, and I am lucky to work with the artists, musicians, and songwriters who make the music we all listen to. I help to run a record label in Los Angeles and collaborate with singers and songwriters all over the world.

I’m ready to be a parent and look forward to exposing a little one to all sorts of music and nature. I am patient, kind, and look forward to nurturing and cultivating a young mind with all the world has to offer.

About Dan

I started playing piano when I was six, which inspired my lifelong love with music. Now I work as a lawyer in the music business in Los Angeles, and still play the piano as often as I can. When I was 20, I lived in Scotland for a year, which sparked my love of traveling to other countries. I have now traveled all over the world – mostly with Jake. We say that we are each other’s favorite travel buddy! When I lived in New York City, I fell in love with yoga and still practice yoga nearly every day. I also love to write stories, and finished my first novel a few years ago. I am currently working on another book right now and can’t wait to read bedtime stories to a little one!

I am ready to be a parent and look forward to sharing this beautiful world of music, knowledge, and nature to help cultivate and expand a child’s view of the world.

We Both Work in the Music Business

Music is a huge part of our lives. Dan is a lawyer for the biggest live entertainment company, and Jake runs a record label where he helps artists make music every day. Going to concerts and music festivals has always been a big part of our life together. We can’t wait to bring a little one with us to see concerts, shows, and as many artists as they want. They’ll also get to go backstage and meet the artists, too! Continuing to learn is also a big part of our lives in addition to working. Jacob went to an Ivy League school, and Dan went to one of the top law schools in America, and we love to read and can’t wait to read to our kids one day.

Our Home and Community

We grew up and started our careers on the East Coast and moved to Los Angeles because we love the ocean and the ability to be outside year-round. We live in a neighborhood with families with young kids who are all friends with each other. There are always lots of games happening outside and playtime with other kids. Kids’ birthdays usually include lots of food, and of course, a bouncy house or sometimes a bouncy castle! We are lucky to live close to a few different beautiful parks and fun playgrounds. that any child would love!

Our Family

We have a large family that looks forward to welcoming a new little member of the family. Dan has seven brothers & sisters and 20 nieces and nephews, all of whom are excited for another cousin. Jake has a large extended family, too, some of whom were adopted themselves. Adoption has always been a big part of our lives. We spend a lot of time traveling with our families, and the cousins are some of each other’s best friends.

Spending time with family is one of the most important things to us, and we are ready to open our large, loving, and adventurous family to your little one.

We will teach them a love of nature, camping, campfires, swimming in the creek, climbing trees, and loving adventures. We will introduce them to various types of music and go to concerts and shows with them. We’ll carve pumpkins for Halloween and be part of a huge gathering at Thanksgiving. We will create art projects with them and hang them in our home as amazing art! We’ll guide them to be brave and to know what unconditional love is.
