Darrell is adventurous, brave, intelligent and loving. He has backpacked across the mountains in California, scuba dived under a glacier in Iceland and traversed across European countries such as Britain, France, Belgium and Italy. Darrell often pushes me to meet new people and enjoy different experiences that I would have never done without him. The best part about Darrell is that my nieces love him. Whenever they come over, they ask if he can play with him all the time. They also get sad when they have to leave. He bakes cookies with the girls and puts jelly on them from plums the girls plucked from a fruit tree. He also taught them that the fruits were called “plums”, not “beans” as they were originally calling them.
