We are Jared and Liz. We have built a wonderful life together in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. We’ve been married for seven years and love to spend time with family and explore the world together. As future parents, we hope to provide a little one with a loving, supportive, fun, and adventurous life.

All About Us

Our life together is filled with adventures shared with our families and friends. From cheering on our favorite teams at baseball and basketball games to long walks on the Bay Area’s many trails with Lucy, to sharing meals with friends, and traveling the world – most recently to France, Italy, Switzerland, Alaska, and Canada – we love spending time together and with those we love.

About Liz

Liz grew up in the Bay Area but has also lived in Seattle, Los Angeles, and Copenhagen, Denmark, before returning home to the Bay. Formerly an elementary and middle school teacher, Liz is now a city planner, helping plan for and guide future development. What Liz loves most about her work is advocating for the community, especially when it comes to providing affordable housing for all. Liz’s favorite things to do when she is not working are to try out new recipes or curl up with a good book.

About Jared

Jared grew up in Nebraska but also lived in Washington, D.C., and Barcelona, Spain before settling in the Bay Area. Jared is a marketing professional who works with companies at the forefront of fighting climate change. Jared loves doing work that has a meaningful impact on the world. You’ll find him listening to podcasts and playing computer games in his free time. His favorite thing to do on a Saturday is going on adventures with Liz and their sweet dog, Lucy.

Our Home and Community

We love our home right along the San Francisco Bay Trail – this is the view from our balcony! Many parks and playgrounds are nearby, and we are just a stone’s throw away from all the Bay Area has to offer. We can’t wait to share this with a little one.

Our Extended Family

We are lucky to come from close, loving, and supportive families. Jared’s family mostly lives in Nebraska. His sister has a smart and sassy twelve-year-old daughter. We visit Nebraska a few times yearly to spend time with his family. Not to brag, but our niece wrote an essay for school called “My Uncle Jared” explaining why he is her favorite person.

Liz’s family mostly lives in the Bay Area and most weekends are spent with her mom and brother’s family for Sunday night dinners. Liz’s sister and her husband live in Pennsylvania with our three nephews. We love playing with this rambunctious and silly crew and especially enjoy seeing the boys grow and develop their unique personalities and interests. We love being an auntie and uncle and can’t wait to introduce our little one to this cousin crew.
