Meet Micah & Amanda

We are parents by open adoption to our lively, adorable daughter, Lily. We would love to grow our family through open adoption again so Lily might experience a sibling relationship. We believe in open adoption and the benefits it offers an adopted child. We maintain regular contact with Lily’s bio family. She knows her roots and understands the love and care that went into placing her with our family. Lily has known that she has been adopted her whole life and that being adopted is a part of what makes her so special and unique.

All About Us

We love cooking and baking and enjoy teaching Lily to express herself through making food. She loves to be involved in the kitchen, and is already an expert at cracking eggs!

About Amanda

My name is Amanda and I have lived in Napa for about 10 years. I like crafting, cats, animation, and sharing funny memes with my husband, Micah. I feel in many ways that I was meant to be an adoptive mom. I find a lot of joy and fulfillment in being a mom, and it’s a privilege to watch Lily grow up and be part of her life. I am creative, full of joy, and grateful for the experiences I have had in my life so far.

About Micah

Hey! My name is Micah, and I’ve lived in Northern California pretty much my whole life. I like to learn the names of plants and animals that live around our home, and I’m learning to play the piano! I have always felt like a dad, even when I was fairly young. I know I would be the kind of dad that could make children feel safe and cared for. I am a kind, patient, and loving person who has a ton more love to give.

Our Home and Community

We live in a family-friendly neighborhood. There are several parks, schools, and other families with similar-aged children within walking distance from our home. Our house has a huge backyard with a deck and a picnic table that Micah built out of the redwood trees that used to grow in the yard. The weather is mild enough that we can play outside all year round!

Our Extended Family

Amanda has a sister who lives in the South Bay with her two kids, a brother who lives with his wife in Missouri, and her parents who live in southern Oregon. Micah’s parents live in Concord, and his sister lives with her family in Petaluma. His two nieces are close to Lily’s age and they love to play together!
