All About Us

We love exploring the world, having traveled to many countries in Asia and Europe.  However, home to us is in the San Francisco Bay Area where we bought our first house together in San Jose. We prioritize quality time and make an effort to have dinner together every night.  We are ready to provide stability, security and immense love to a little one.

About Nam

I grew up in Oakland, California, and lived in a vibrant community. Being an only child, I chose to stay close to the area to maintain that family bond.  I currently work with a legal team in contract negotiation for a tech company. One of my proudest achievements was when I did a half-marathon race every month for a year. Then I did a full marathon: 26.2 miles!

About Alfred

I was born in the Bay Area and grew up in a very diverse part of San Jose. In school, I loved science and developed a passion to work in medicine.  I work as a Physician Assistant treating patients with liver diseases. I love playing and discovering new music. I also love planning weekend adventures, trips, and family parties.

Our Home and Community

We live in a 1940’s once-story bungalow nestled in a diverse neighborhood. Some of our neighbors have been living here for decades and there are new families with young kids joining the community. We enjoy our chalk art walk, Christmas tree, decoration contests, and movie night on the grass. It has the feel of a small town within a big city!

Our Extended Family

Alfred has a large extended family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who are mostly local in the Bay Area. Nam’s mom & Alfred’s brother and mom live only 15 minutes away. Our family has embraced us, and we have large family gatherings. Usually, this involves lots of REALLY GOOD Filipino and Vietnamese food!
