Following is a listing of our upcoming Orientations and Workshops. Individual consultation and counseling are also available.
Open Adoption Orienation is the first step in researching adoption as a family building strategy. In this informational session, an Adoption Connection professional will introduce and review the process of infant, open adoption and the services of our fully licensed adoption agency. This orientation is free and open to all adults interested in learning more about open adoption. Pre-registration is required. No drop-ins please.
This event is not appropriate for children, and we are unable to provide childcare.
This one day, intensive workshop is an educational requirement for all Adoption Connection homestudy clients. Learn more about the open adoption process in this informative workshop, which includes hearing guest speakers tell their unique perspectives and personal experiences in open adoption and offers opportunities to ask questions in a supportive environment.
Becoming a conspicuous family is something adoptive families discuss when considering adopting a baby of a different race/ethnicity than themselves. This one-day intensive is required for Adoption Connection clients who are open to adopting a child of a race or ethnicity different than their own, and their partners or spouses, or who are interested in learning more about transracial adoption.
