Meet Dan & Jake

We live in Los Angeles near the ocean, where we recently bought our first house with a beautiful yard. We’ve always known how amazing adoption is, the community it brings, and how important building a diverse family is for the world. We have always talked about how we wanted to welcome a child into our family and give that child a wonderful, adventurous life full of love, fun, and joy. We both love the happiness and fun that comes with having a huge family and lots of friends around. We have adoption in our family, and we look forward to getting to know you.

About Jake

I grew up in Rhode Island, which is famous for its beautiful beaches and its access to the outdoors. When I was a kid, I would spend summers in Vermont, hiking, camping, and swimming in the cold lakes. I love the outdoors, and spend as much time hiking, swimming, skiing, and biking as I can. The love of music is what drives my life, and I am lucky to work with the artists, musicians, and songwriters who make the music we all listen to. I help to run a record label in Los Angeles and collaborate with singers and songwriters all over the world.

I’m ready to be a parent and look forward to exposing a little one to all sorts of music and nature. I am patient, kind, and look forward to nurturing and cultivating a young mind with all the world has to offer.

About Dan

I started playing piano when I was six, which inspired my lifelong love with music. Now I work as a lawyer in the music business in Los Angeles, and still I play the piano as often as I can! When I was 20, I lived in Scotland for a year, which sparked my love of traveling to other countries. I’ve now traveled all over the world -mostly with Jake who is my favorite travel buddy! When I lived in New York City, I fell in love with yoga and still practice yoga nearly every day. I also love to write stories, and I finished my first novel a few years ago. I’m working on another book right now and can’t wait to read bedtime stories to a little one!

I’m ready to be a parent and look forward to sharing this beautiful world of music, knowledge, and nature to help cultivate and expand a child’s view of the world.

Our Home and Community

We moved from New York City to Los Angeles because we wanted to live near the beach and start our family. When we found our neighborhood in Marina Del Rey we knew it was perfect. We can walk to the beach in five minutes! All of our neighbors have kids, and we all hang out and BBQ when the kids have birthday parties – complete with huge bouncy houses for the kids to play around in! Marina is a beautiful, safe neighborhood for families. We walk to the farmer’s market and buy food for the week. There are parks and playgrounds nearby. Kids bike and scooter all over the neighborhood safely.

Our Family

Dan grew up in a big family – he has eight brothers and sisters, and he already has fifteen nieces and nephews! Jake has a large extended family too. Our families are the most important thing in our lives. We spend a lot of time traveling to see family, spending holidays together, and vacationing together.

We can’t wait to be able to share these experiences with a child we are raising and have them be a part of a big, fun loving, and adventurous family!

Our promises to you are that your child will always know the love you have for them and know who you are. We will maintain and cultivate our future relationship with you in an open adoption.

We will teach them a love of nature, camping, campfires, swimming in the creek, climbing trees, and loving adventures. We will introduce them to various types of music, go to concerts and shows with them. We’ll carve pumpkins for Halloween and be part of a huge gathering at Thanksgiving. We will create art projects with them and hang them in our home as amazing art! We’ll guide them to be brave and to know what unconditional love is.
