He has been playing the violin since he was six years old. His passion for music reflects his creativity and commitment to the arts.

Jon enjoys planning for the future, whether it’s finances or dreaming up exciting family vacations. He has created a stable and joyful life making him ready to provide and nurture a little one.

Above all, he is a loyal person who leads with empathy and builds community with love and support. He looks forward to being able to guide a child through life’s ups and downs, nurturing their individuality and allowing them to discover the things they enjoy with each passing year.

Whether he is on a mountainside appreciating California’s natural beauty, or at home on a slow Sunday afternoon, Andrew is a quiet and nurturing person. He shows his love through actions like cooking delicious meals and creating a warm inviting home for us and our friends and family who visit.

Andrew has a passion for craftsmanship and a sharp appreciation of quality. Mixing these values with deep wells of creativity, handiness and patience, Andrew is ready to nurture and explore new things with a child as they choose and grow in their own passions.

His life experiences have shaped him into a compassionate guide, ready to help a child navigate life’s challenges with understanding and resilience.

Andrew is a social worker who began his career helping the elderly get the things they need. He more recently worked at homeless encampments, providing food, supplies and help with housing. Currently, Andrew works as a counselor for those struggling with substance use and also for queer people affected by HIV. Andrew is deeply committed to advocating for others, always striving to provide support and stability for people who are often left out or ignored in today’s world.

Jon is a family doctor who works in hospitals. His favorite aspect of his work is being a doctor in small towns and helping people with addiction. He has a flexible schedule and finds his work both personally meaningful and professionally fulfilling. Jon hopes to complete special training in Addiction Medicine by 2026 and dreams of expanding addiction services in rural parts of California.

Our Home and Community

Our home is a lovely Victorian house in a lively neighborhood in San Francisco. We have a big backyard, lots of sunshine, and friendly neighbors with kids. There are many parks and schools nearby, and we’re only about 15 minutes from the beach. The mountains are just a short drive away. Our home is known for hosting the best pumpkin-carving and Easter egg-decorating parties! It’s a wonderful place to create happy memories.

Our Family

We both grew up in the Midwest, and our familis taught us important values like being humble, caring about family, helping others, and being thankful. Over the years, we’ve also made strong friendships of our own. These friends are like family to us and they can’t wait to be there for us when we become parents. We feel very lucky to have the community of loved ones that we do. Between Christmases at both our parents’ homes, family vacations, and “Friendsgiving” celebrations, a little one will be saturated with love, acceptance, and good role models.

Our Cats

Alice and Theo are the perfect cats, enough said :) Clearly we adore our pets and find them endlessly cute and entertaining. They are very gentle and though Alice tends to be a little skeptical of new people at first, she warms up quickly. Her brother, Theo, on the other hand is over flowing with love and affection at first sight.
