Both of our families are incredibly supportive of our plans to adopt! On Tim’s side, the baby will be welcomed by five cousins, ages one through twelve, and grandparents who live in San Diego.  Tim’s three brothers also live in San Diego, allowing for frequent family gatherings throughout the year. On the other side, Federico’s sister, with whom there is a very close relationship, lives in the northern region of Italy. While distance separates them, they still see each other a couple of times a year and stay in touch frequently by phone. His father also lives in the same northern region of Italy and shares in the excitement of welcoming a grandchild. We have close relationships with our parents, speaking with them regularly each week, and they are all thrilled at the prospect of expanding our family.
